Airlines with Direct flight to Dakar

1] Gori Island – An excellent beach place for sunbathing, swimming or hiking in the hot weather, to reach this island you will have to arrive at Dakar Independent Port from where you take one of the connecting boats that attach with mainland according atmospheric conditions.

The trip be an estimated 25-minute drive.

2] African Renaissance Monument – The African Renaissance Monument was also erected in 2010, and is a massive copper structure over three metres taller than the Statue of Liberty finished with copper coating ground level to its top floor on which rests at his foot a staircase rising for steps.

Visit also the fantastic museum (nice views from 15th floor + great art) at opening hours 9AM to 7 PM

3] Grande Mosque — The striking Grande Mosquée, built in 1964 by the Lébou people who have lived around Dakar for centuries and occupies a sacred place in Islamic tradition (in this case Sengalese style): stands at the heart of Médina, one of those electric neighbourhoods where little tailor shops jostle with variably-walled market stalls on every corner; ideas ferment low-key between street cafes and makeshift football grounds.

4] Purchase Senegalese Art – Being a statue collector wherever I go, whilst in Sengal i came across more art which was precious. Soumbedioune Market (great for buying all sorts of artwork from multi-coloured sand pictures representing the various regions within Senegal, to glass ones).
